The homeland of ketchup—though not in its modern form—is traditionally considered to be China. In the distant Middle Ages, around the mid-17th century, a seasoning made from a mixture of various vegetables and spices was brought to England and immediately gained its admirers, who began to call it «Catchup». However, ketchup in the form familiar to us today, cooked on the basis of tomatoes, appeared much later—two centuries afterward.
In 2015, «Odeskyi Konsevnyi Zavod» expanded its product range and added two types of ketchups to its assortment: «Tomato» ketchup and «For Barbecue» ketchup. The recipes developed by our laboratory make it possible to preserve maximum flavor and beneficial properties. `
